The beautiful villages of Symonds Yat East and West, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire are two of the most well known in the Wye Valley. Approximately six miles from the town of Ross-on-Wye, the villages are a hive of activity and a popular spot for taking forest walks, canoeing with the Wyedean Canoe and Adventure Centre, fishing, taking a cruise with Kingfisher Cruises along the River Wye or enjoying a cream tea at Rose Cottage.
There is a traditional rope ferry, which is moored at the Saracen's Head Inn and crosses the river regularly, taking passengers between the two villages. As well as being a pleasurable experience, this short crossing saves a five mile journey by road. To find out more information on this beautiful area and the local attractions and events please visit the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean website which will be updated on a regular basis.
Our accommodation offers four rooms (2 double, 2 twin) with panoramic views of the River Wye, all furnished and detailed with personal touches to help your stay feel like a home from home.
